LengthThe total run in metres, and how many corners it turns.
HeightTaller fences need longer posts set deeper.
Type of fence and postsPanels, boards, timber or concrete posts. Ask John which he recommends.
The old fenceTaking it down and taking it away.
The groundRoots, rock, old footings or concrete along the line.
Gates and slopesA gate, or ground that falls along the run, adds work.

AreaThe lawn in square metres. Rolls come in set widths, so the shape decides how much is cut off.
The grass you choosePile height, colour and feel. Ask John which he recommends.
Lifting the old lawnTurf and soil out, and taken away.
The baseHow much is needed to make the ground firm and level.
